Visit Prague with SKÅL

Prague - former home of Imperators and Kings and known as Royal City -  is the Capital of the Czech Republic and has developed over the years into a modern and lively Central European Metropol but still kept its charm and stayed a spectacular, historic location which invariably delights visitors. With Prague Castle rising above, a stroll across the Charles Bridge with its 16 arches and statuary along the baroque church Saint Nicolas and up the hill to Prague Castle and the tiny houses of Golden Lane will surely delight you.

Prague looks like a city straight from a fairytale. The cobble stoned streets lead you along past buildings of great architecture of the City of a Hundred Spires and never fails to enchant.  Josefov and the fascinating Jewish Quarters are a must to see.  One of the many famous buildings is surely the Tyn Church, whose towers you might recognise from several castles in Walt Disney´s films (legend has it, they formed Walt´s inspiration).  Prague´s  Municipal House (Obecni dùm) is one of the most beautiful buildings in Prague and another must to see. This Art Nouveau treasure, located in the very heart of Prague, stands on the old site of what was once called King´s Court. This was a former residence of King Wenceslas IV, who had new fortifications built in the area to protect Prague. One part of these fortifications can be found next to the Municipal House. This dark tower is called Powder Tower (Prašná Brána). It was a former storage place for gunpowder.

And if your desire for beautiful architecture is fulfilled, stroll through the city and enjoy the wonderful cafés, restaurants, art galleries and nightlife.

Prague is situated  right  in  the  heart of  Europe,  a crossroads  of cultures  and  history  over the years, the  gate to  the rest  of  the  Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Austria  and  South - and Eastern Germany  all  of which are home to historic towns, charming  breathtaking  countryside and  ancient castles, some of which are still largely undiscovered.
